It's all ratings-driven of course, even in this case of 'public' broadcasting, for the benefit of its corporate masters and their mighty shareholders. Plus, NPR's particularly sexed up in order to appeal to those college and 'thinking' people who are so important to the ruling classes. That's when the 'P' in NPR REALLY becomes propaganda.Porter Melmothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11473990960543501439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27644679.post-26922669672660320662008-11-03T08:25:00.000-06:002008-11-03T08:25:00.000-06:00"It is of course hard to understand the present wi..."It is of course hard to understand the present without an occasional look at the past."

Funny that Inscrap never mentioned that little piece of profundity in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq.

Or the fact that the British tried and failed -- miserably - to occupy and rule Iraq as part of a League Of Nations Mandate at the end of WWI.

Most news people would be embarrassed to pass off the kind of crap that Inscrap does as "journalism".

"Journalists" like Inscrap are a symptom of a much larger problem in our society: overabundance at the top of "parrot professionals".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
