Just wondering if/when NPR will send Anne Garrells, or anyone else, out to try to confirm or disconfirm the Iraq mortality study published in Lancet. As this article says, one of the authors has issued a challenge to the media, saying it should be relatively straightforward to check if their estimates are in the right ballpark. He even suggests a way to do it that should be within NPR's budget. Here is the link:

Morning Edition gets a small Kudos for their republican corruption audio montage today [marred only by a minor focus on the bs charges against Reid].
It made for fun morning listening. Even Juan Williams sounds dispirited, which is nice to hear as well.
