Proof positive that ME is dedicated to 'judicious' editing of the most blatant kind: Inskeep's chat with Lee Iacocca this morning. He bantered with the lively former head of Chrysler about mostly automotive matters, and seemed to relish making Lee say how wrong he had been about the direction of the auto industry (a generous and commendable admission on Lee's part). But no discussion was allowed of Lee's new book, except to mention the title at the end of the segment. There wasn't even a reference to an expanded version of the interview on the website, which might have included that subject. Small wonder: Iacocca is absolutely scathing about the Bush Administration (and Bushism in general)in his book, 'Where Have All The Leaders Gone?'.
My name is Matthew Murrey and I'm from Florida, but have been living in the Midwest since 1984. I started this blog because no one else was blogging NPR's drift toward the right - and it made more sense than yelling at the radio.
"Q Tips" is an open thread post where you can place general comments or brief notes about NPR.
