Well hey, they did air an oh-so-insightful (note sarcasm) report on Lindsey Lohan this AM... along with the box office take on the Simplekins movie (and yes, including the obligatory exclamation as often locuted by the patriarch - not to be repeated here). So slap me edified!
I was wondering if any of you had any ideas for ways to fund local public radio stations that don't end up paying part of Steve Inskeep's $300K/year salary?
I've switched to listening to Public Radio International's "The World" http://www.theworld.org/. Here in Boston WGBH carries it between 4 PM and 5 PM. It might be useful to ask your local public radio station to carry it in place of NPR.
My name is Matthew Murrey and I'm from Florida, but have been living in the Midwest since 1984. I started this blog because no one else was blogging NPR's drift toward the right - and it made more sense than yelling at the radio.
"Q Tips" is an open thread post where you can place general comments or brief notes about NPR.

I make every effort not to interfere with comments - BUT I will generally delete violent, gratuitously vulgar, or obscene posts. I realize it can be a subjective judgment call. Even when you're really angry, try to play nice.

Or divert some of those donations to PBS programs such as NOW, Frontline and Bill Moyers' Journal. REAL REPORTING, and NO BLEEPING FLUFF.
