Sorry for the relentless negativity, but I really have a hard time accepting Jackie Northam as a credible reporter in Pakistan. She seems used to political situations, but she has yet to exhibit any depth of understanding as to Pakistan's collective psyche as far as its current events are concerned. She sounds as if she expects things to be like Capitol Hill or something. Where is my Reeves??
Another outrage: I heard full-of-himself Inskeep say today that, get this - when it comes to China, Americans are full of both 'excitement and dread'. How dare he? WTF?? What???
The China remarks by 'The Innkeeper' dovetail nicely into the commentary by 'Keystone Kop'-pel on All Thinktanks Considered a few evenings ago; some spiel about interviewing a rather flippant Chinaman who made remarks that surely must have shaken Ted's rosy picture of American might-n-right. You keepers of the blog are far more succinct than this bunny at pinning it all down, but thought it worth adding to Port's post.
My name is Matthew Murrey and I'm from Florida, but have been living in the Midwest since 1984. I started this blog because no one else was blogging NPR's drift toward the right - and it made more sense than yelling at the radio.
"Q Tips" is an open thread post where you can place general comments or brief notes about NPR.

I make every effort not to interfere with comments - BUT I will generally delete violent, gratuitously vulgar, or obscene posts. I realize it can be a subjective judgment call. Even when you're really angry, try to play nice.
