Looking forward to a McCain presidency, NPR seems to be getting even more overtly imperialistic, not to mention swaggering.

Airy Ari Shapiro, the Voice of the New NPR, is really into that stuff, whether ridiculing Colombia's tiny economy with guest (but no mention of the cocaine trade!) or drooling with another guest over Iraq's vast oil reserves. The latter segment was nothing short of pornographic, as the two were getting very 'excited' over the division of Iraq's spoils, and how easy it would be to get the oil 'out of the country'.

Moving past the stale statements of the unsavory Wolfowitz, these next-generation conquerors are truly ready to get going on the exploitation of Iraq, which is what this lil' ol' war was largely about, don't ya know. They've been patient, but now they're getting antsy, and they've got a lot of wad to shoot.

Disgusting. If I hadn't wholly and totally banished them from my pink fuzzy ear canals already, I'd suuuure be deeply pondering it by now.
