tom assbrook today had an entire segment on the 'financial crisis' and neither he, nor any of his guests ever mentioned fraud. Not once. Contrast that with the refreshingly candid presentation by Robin Young on 'Here and Now', directly following assbrook's show on wbur, where at least a partial history of regulatory withdrawl and investment fraud were discussed. Of course, 'DemocracyNow!' had the most in-depth report, covering a more complete history of the regulatory malfeasance involved in what may become the new great depression, and the actors involved. Amy interviewed Senator Bernie Sanders, whose incite is totally lacking from any npr/pbs production.

Ah, yes. See no fraud, hear no fraud.

Of course there was no fraud. The Ayn Rand "captains of industry" would never be involved in such stuff.

Reminds me of Ashbrook's one sided pre-invasion "coverage" of Iraq.

Consisted largely of interviews of people who were pro-invasion (Iraqi exiles, etc)

And when the invasion did come, like most other journalists in this country, he acted like a kid in a candy store.

Rather sickening. I stopped listening after that.
