Inskeep brings up the notion of the "magic negro" today--seemingly attempting to validate the references by Limbaugh and Republican Operatives? Plus it's MLK Day...Could this guy be the most divisive anchor that has ever been on NPR?
Seriously? It's MLK day, and the day before Obama becomes President, and the day following a stirring concert at the Lincoln Memorial.
And on Morning Edition we have an extended interview with Newt Gingrich? Then a Mara Liasson piece about 'Obama as a post-partisan' that has sound from Ornstein at AEI and, wait for it, MORE Newt Gingrich? And curiously fails to notice that, in Mara's list of Presidents who claimed to be uniters but weren't, they were all Republicans?
This is what I have to wake up to, NPR? Give me a break.
My name is Matthew Murrey and I'm from Florida, but have been living in the Midwest since 1984. I started this blog because no one else was blogging NPR's drift toward the right - and it made more sense than yelling at the radio.
"Q Tips" is an open thread post where you can place general comments or brief notes about NPR.

Checkout the Pelosi 2012 GTxi SS/RT Sport Edition automobile a tasteless but none the less funny video. NPR is even mentioned. Heh!

I was just here to comment on the "magic negro" piece. WTF NPR? You think that's serious analysis? Sheesh. It's toned-down racism.
