David Greene this morning was having his Condy Rice moment of "who could have believed there would be such turmoil in Iraq" type crap. Well, I did, and everyone of the half million pre-war protesters in DC did, and the foreign policy 'experts' certainly did, that's why they did it. Greene was doing the CYA for NPR, because maybe they were too stupid and too greedy to see it all coming. And compromise? I'll consider compromising after all those fuckers have been given criminal records, so they won't be able to be in government again.
Wow... on PRI's The World (on my local NPR station)they had Norman Finkelstein comment on Jimmy Carter's book. (granted, it was just for a sentence or two, and they didn't tell their audience who Finkelstein is, and the vast bulk of the commentary was given over to critics of Carter... sigh. typical.)
On ATC, the new Iraq general is being fawned over so much it made me laugh. He has THREE stars, and he's about to get FOUR! And, apparently, the whole tone of Bush's State of the Union address is going to be set by how he greets Pelosi.
My name is Matthew Murrey and I'm from Florida, but have been living in the Midwest since 1984. I started this blog because no one else was blogging NPR's drift toward the right - and it made more sense than yelling at the radio.
"Q Tips" is an open thread post where you can place general comments or brief notes about NPR.

Of Petraeus and the three stars. And Raz adds, he's like the high school football captain and valedictorian rolled into one--arrgghhh!
All the war-hos are fellating Petraeus because he's so dreamy...
