The Temple of Dumb
So I had a little problem a week ago with NPR pimping the Indiana Jones movie(s). Since then they've gone at it two more times - last Thursday on ATC and today on ME. Nice advertising NPR.

One USG propaganda outlet (NPR) is promoting another USG propaganda movie maker (Spielberg).
Steven Spielberg is a leader in CIA-Hollywood making propaganda and counterpropaganda for the US government.
CIA-Hollywood's main task is to show Action Adventure Alpha-males battling darker savages to embed stereotypes in kids that can be turned into military recruiting and nationalism.
The CIA puts lots of work in constructing cultural cues for social engineering purposes.
Stereotypes are handles on perception and behavior and are national security assets.
The CIA really does work to maintain a baseline of racism and sexism in Americans to ferment into militarism, capitalism, and nationalism.
Nationalist Propaganda Radio is a USG propaganda outlet just like Voice of America.
The president of NPR for the last 10 years is a guy from Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
How the CIA uses movies and television is one of the most important and least understood things that CIA does.
A while back I had dropped a cracker-jack zen koan on a Jerry Bruckheimer-bash thread on IMDB, which I think does apply to this safe cash-cow as well:
